Press release:
AeroVisto acquires CAS
AeroVisto is growing with another high-performance location in Germany, strengthening its market position within the European Union.
AeroVisto Group announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Complete Aircraft Services GmbH (CAS), effective Jan. 1, 2023.
The acquisition of CAS brings together established companies that complement each other’s service portfolios and share the same values and goals. It is the next consequential step in the successive development of the AeroVisto Group, which Hermann Bauer and Carsten Matthiesen started in 2014 with the takeover of AeroVisto, at that time named Maritime Aerospace AG, in Staad/St. Gallen. In the following years, the company was expanded and developed into an innovative and service-oriented company for refurbishment and retrofit projects in business and private aviation.
With the establishment of an EASA Part 145 operation at Zurich Airport in 2018, AeroVisto expanded its portfolio to include services in commercial aviation. The expansion of the Zurich site to include a component shop was completed in February 2022. With the acquisition of CAS, a company becomes part of the AeroVisto Group, which was founded by Siegbert Rauch in 2013. In the past 10 years, it was developed into a well-organized, technically skilled company that is known in the second market of business aviation for good quality and customized solutions. With CAS, the AeroVisto Group added another production site that possesses the relevant aviation approvals EASA Part 145 and EASA Part 21G.
Another commonality is the culture of innovation, which plays a central role to AeroVisto and CAS. The synergies that now arise will contribute to the development of new, beneficial products and services, for the customers of the entire Group.
“When you hand over a company that you have built up yourself, with employees who are personally close to your heart, you want to know that these values are in good hands. I am sure that with AeroVisto I have found the right solution for the future of CAS” says Siegbert Rauch, who will remain part of the team and will support with his knowledge towards customers and partners of AeroVisto Group in the future.
“The acquisition of CAS is a major, strategically important step. With the new location within the European Union, the AeroVisto Group gains the necessary freedom for the targeted growth and development of the European core market“ says Hermann Bauer, CEO at AeroVisto. “We are also very excited to be able to leverage the skills of more experienced and passionate professionals in the future. At the same time, we are complementing the skills of the group with topics such as special wood veneer work or even Corian and stone floorings and countertops”. Hermann is looking forward to working closely with Siegbert Rauch, who will continue to actively support the company.
Europe is still a fast-growing market in Business Aviation. The new location in Schnaittach/Germany gives the possibility to provide an even more comprehensive service to numerous customers in the DACH region. At the same time, it provides the ideal basis for meeting the increasing requests for refurbishment projects from France, the Benelux countries, and Eastern Europe.
Carsten Matthisen, CEO of AeroVisto adds: “With the new location in Schnaittach, we are also extending our capacities — when it comes to experienced specialists, but also when it comes to the space, we need to handle refurbishment projects. With this, we complement the portfolio of the AeroVisto Group with large type, VVIP corporate aircraft, such as the ACJ and BBJ series.”
By Jan. 1, 2023, the AeroVisto Group will have 45 employees and, together with its supplier network, will be able to deploy around 75,000 man-hours annually to realize customer projects.
The acquisition of CAS is another milestone in the strategic evolution of the Group. It strengthens the company’s market position and provides AeroVisto with further options to continue achieving its vision — to be Best in Customer Experience.
