When Cessna Service Center Düsseldorf approached AeroVisto in mid-July 2025 with an urgent interior refurbishment requirement, the parameters were clear: a complete cabin transformation was required, and the aircraft had to be operational by September 2nd. This tight schedule would test every aspect of our capabilities as a Preferred Partner for Cessna’s European network.
The nearly 20-year-old Citation CJ1 had been in maintenance for several months when the interior refurbishment decision was made. Our teams saw this as an opportunity to demonstrate the agility that defines our partnership with Cessna. Within days of initial contact, specifications were finalized, materials sourced, and production started – a testament to streamlined processes developed through years of collaboration.
The comprehensive refurbishment involved a complete interior overhaul. Premium upholstery in elegant dark and light shades added visual depth while ensuring practical durability. Custom stitching patterns provided unique character to the seating, while modern surface treatments through our Decor Film Application method introduced a contemporary look to the cabin’s fixed elements. The coordinated color scheme achieved the right balance – professional enough for business use, yet warm and inviting for passenger comfort.
What set this project apart was the smooth cooperation of multiple stakeholders. With engineering support provided directly through Cessna’s STC documentation, our teams could fully concentrate on craftsmanship and quality. Every department worked in sync – from specifications through material procurement, production, and final assembly. As noted during the project, “every gear meshed perfectly” to achieve what might normally require twice the time.

The acceptance inspection marked a major milestone: Frank Burnet, renowned interior specialist and official inspector for Textron facilities across Europe, flew in specifically to conduct this assessment – his first official visit to our facilities. His decades of experience, rooted in the legacy of Bernard Interiors, bring unmatched standards to every inspection. The result: few remarks, excellent feedback, and confirmation that fast-track implementation doesn’t have to sacrifice quality.
This project highlights the strategic value of our role within Cessna’s European modification network. As a Preferred Partner to Service Centers in Paris, Düsseldorf, Prague, and Zurich, we’ve built the ability to respond quickly while upholding rigorous standards. The effective collaboration with Eva Busch from Cessna Sales and Ivica Sukloski, Head of Modifications Europe, shows how strong relationships lead to exceptional results even under pressure.
